Grit 40 makes it an aggressive abrasive, ideal for rapid material removal, deburring and surface preparation. The overlapping flap arrangement ensures gradual wear that keeps abrasive performance stable over time.

A flap disc is an abrasive made of overlapping cloth flaps, on a disc for angle grinders or on a shank for straight grinders, that roughs down and finishes metal and wood.

What it is for

Used for sanding metal, from roughing to finishing, for deburring metal after cutting and drilling and for grinding and cleaning up weld seams and burrs.

How to use it

Fit the disc on the angle grinder, or insert the shank-mounted flap wheel in the collet of the straight grinder or drill, observing the maximum speed. Work with light pressure at a slight angle, keeping the tool moving so as not to overheat or mark the workpiece. Progress from coarse to fine grits for finishing, and replace the disc when the cloth is worn down to the backing.

Where it is used

Vehicle body repair

Mechanical engineering industry

Mechanical workshops

Technical data

Disc type: Flat

Grit size: 40

Grit: 40

Who it is for

Designed for vehicle body repairers, metal fabricators and welders.

Related products

Extreme flap discs DeWalt DT30611-QZ

Extreme flap discs DeWalt DT30601-QZ

230mm 2200W angle grinder DeWalt DWE492-QS — from the category Angle Grinders

Helmet protection visor Vizir Shadow before 2019 Petzl — from the category Safety Glasses, Goggles and Face Shields

Sharpening wheel DT3380-QZ 125 x 25 x 20 DeWalt — from the category Mounted Abrasive Points

Browse the whole category: Flap Discs for Metal and Wood

Before you order

Tell us the quantities you need and the intended use: if there is a more suitable version, or an equivalent available sooner, we will let you know.

For prices and availability, request a quote from AMES Srl: we will reply with our quotation, delivery times and, where needed, an equivalent technical alternative.
