It is sold singly and has a height of 1.5 cm. It is the plate to which the abrasive discs are fixed: when the velcro wears out, the machine no longer holds the paper and the backing pad needs replacing.

A backing pad is the support disc fitted to a sander or grinder that holds sanding paper, fibre discs or polishing pads.

What it is for

Used for sanding surfaces before painting, for sanding surfaces, as preparation or as a finish and for sanding surfaces before treatment.

How to use it

Choose a backing pad with the same diameter, fitting and dust extraction holes as the machine and discs. Fit it with the machine stopped, apply the abrasive with the holes aligned and work flat without forcing, so as not to overheat the hook-and-loop face. Replace it when the hook-and-loop no longer holds or the pad is deformed.

Where it is used

Vehicle body repair

Mechanical engineering industry

Renovation

Technical data

Connection: Fast

Pack (pcs): 1

Application type: Sanding

Height (cm): 1,5

Who it is for

Designed for vehicle body repairers, joiners, painters and decorators and furniture makers.

Related products

Backing pads for quick-fit discs DeWalt DT3601-QZ

Backing pads for angle grinders DeWalt DT3610-QZ

Abrasive disc 125 - 8 holes DeWalt DT3115-QZ — from the category Abrasive Sheets and Pads for Random Orbital Sanders

Random orbital sander 125 mm 280 W DeWalt DWE6423-QS — from the category Random Orbital Sanders

Flat-head angle grinder 125mm 18V XR Brushless bare tool DCG405FN-XJ DeWalt — from the category Angle Grinders

Browse the whole category: Backing Pads for Random Orbital and Orbital Sanders

Before you order

In your request, please state the connection type and the quantities required, so we can give you the right quotation first time.

For prices and availability, request a quote from AMES Srl: we will reply with our quotation, delivery times and, where needed, an equivalent technical alternative.
