Tape Measures

114 products · Analogue Measurement and Marking-Out

Tape measures for measuring lengths and distances on site, in the workshop and on maintenance jobs, from the keyring model to the multi-metre tool with a wide blade.

Types in the collection

  • Pocket tape measures with a 2, 3, 5 or 8 metre blade, some with blade lock (Stanley, DeWalt, Milwaukee, Stabila).
  • Wide-blade tape measures and models with a magnetic hook (Milwaukee).
  • Digital tape measures with display (Spektra).
  • Professional steel tape measures with an accuracy class (Rubi, Unifix and other catalogue brands).

How to choose

Choose the length to suit the measurements you usually take and the blade width to suit the use: a wide blade stays rigid for longer when measuring unsupported. Check the scale (in millimetres, also in inches), the blade lock and the accuracy class.

For marking-out and carpentry work it can be useful to have two tape measures: a short, compact one to carry with you at all times and a long one with a wide blade for larger measurements. For those who often measure alone, a magnetic hook and a blade lock save time.

For models and quantities, write to or call AMES: the supply is set up by quotation.
