Adhesive and Sealant Application Systems

268 products · Fixing Application Systems

Application systems are used to apply adhesives, sealants, foams and chemical anchors precisely and without waste: manual, pneumatic and cordless guns, plus the accessories for preparing them and finishing the job. In this collection you will find the tools for applying the product, not the products themselves.

What you will find in the collection

  • Cartridge guns for sealant, manual and pneumatic, for building and industrial use
  • Injection guns for chemical anchors, including cordless electric ones (SPIT)
  • Accessories: bottle brushes and brushes for cleaning holes, spare parts for cartridges, spatulas for finishing silicone joints

How to choose

Choose the gun according to the type of cartridge or sachet (size and volume), how often it is used and the force required: for occasional jobs a manual gun is enough, while for heavier production pneumatic or cordless models are better. Check compatibility with the product to be applied.

AMES works on a quotation basis: tell us the quantity and type of use and we will help you choose the right products.

Frequently asked questions: Adhesive and Sealant Application Systems
What are sealant and adhesive guns used for?

They extrude sealants, adhesives and foams from the cartridge evenly and without waste. Manual guns are the simplest, pneumatic ones push the product with compressed air, while battery versions for chemical anchors serve specific jobs. For finishing, smoothing tools and spatulas are used to smooth the bead before the product dries.

Manual, pneumatic or battery gun: which should I choose?

A manual gun is inexpensive and suits occasional work. A pneumatic gun needs a compressor and is used for many cartridges a day without tiring the hand. A battery gun for chemical anchors is convenient on site when compressed air is not available. Choose based on the volume of work, the power supply available and the type of product to apply.

How do you clean holes before inserting a chemical anchor?

Clean the hole of dust and debris with a hole-cleaning pump and a brush, because residue reduces holding strength. Insert the mixing nozzle into the cartridge and fill the hole from the bottom upwards, to avoid air pockets. Respect the curing times and the depth specified by the manufacturer before loading the fixing.

What is a sealant smoothing tool and how is it used?

It is a tool that smooths the bead of sealant just after it is applied, giving a neat finish in joints. It is passed along with light, steady pressure before the product begins to form a surface skin. The HM Silicone Smoothing Tool is an example from the range. For cleaning, use the solvent or cleaner indicated by the sealant manufacturer.

Why is a dedicated gun needed for polyurethane foam?

Polyurethane foam hardens and leaves residues that stick to the gun, risking damage to its operation. The polyurethane foam gun with PTFE coating is designed for this use, with a non-stick surface. Clean the gun immediately after use, before the foam hardens, and keep guns for different products separate.

How do you use a silicone gun safely and get a neat result?

Wear gloves and goggles, work in a ventilated space and keep the cartridge away from heat sources. Cut the tip to an opening suited to the bead you want. Release the lever pressure after each pass to avoid dripping. For pneumatic guns, check the air pressure as specified by the manufacturer.

Which standards and documents apply to sealants and chemical anchors?

Sealants and chemical anchors come with a safety data sheet, as required by the REACH and CLP regulations. For structural anchors, the manufacturer's technical documentation is what counts, stating permitted loads and conditions of use, such as the type of substrate and the installation depth. Always check that the product is suitable for the material you are working on.
