Sandblasting Equipment and Spare Parts
73 products · Sandblasting and Surface Preparation
This collection brings together machines and spare parts for sandblasting, useful for anyone who needs to remove paint, rust and scale from metal, masonry and other surfaces. It includes products from Fervi, Breaker and Kärcher. The choice of components depends on the type of job and on the machine already in use, so it is best to start from the model of sandblaster you have.
What the collection contains
- Sandblasters, including dry ice blasters
- Filters and spare parts for the machines
- Gloves for sandblasting and operator accessories
How to choose
- Choose the sandblaster according to the surface to be treated and the amount of work expected.
- Check that filters and spare parts are compatible with the make and model of the machine.
- Always provide operator protection, starting with dedicated gloves.
- Before treating delicate surfaces, test a small area first.
For guidance on the machine or the most suitable spare part, request a quote from the AMES technicians, stating the model you use.

Frequently asked questions: Sandblasting Equipment and Spare Parts
What is sandblasting used for and which surfaces can be treated?
Sandblasting removes paint, rust and scale by projecting abrasive at high pressure. It is used on metal, masonry and other hard surfaces, to prepare them for painting or for the next treatment. The choice of abrasive depends on the material to be worked and the thickness to be removed.
Which sandblaster should I choose for the surface to be treated?
Choose the sandblaster according to the surface: for small parts a gun is enough, while for large surfaces a tank-type machine is better. Dry ice blasters, such as the Kärcher IB 10/15 L2P Advanced, use dry ice pellets that sublimate and leave no abrasive residue on the surface. The compressor available at the workplace also matters.
Which abrasive should I use: synthetic sand, silicon carbide or bicarbonate?
Synthetic sand and silicon carbide are used to remove rust and tough paint. Sodium bicarbonate is gentler and suits surfaces that must not be attacked. The coarse 25 kg blasting abrasive is for heavier jobs. Choose the abrasive according to the hardness of the material to be removed.
Which nozzles should I choose: ceramic, boron carbide or tungsten carbide?
Ceramic, boron carbide and tungsten carbide nozzles resist wear from the abrasive, but have different characteristics. Boron carbide is very wear-resistant, while tungsten carbide is a robust choice. The type of abrasive and the working pressure matter. Choose the nozzle according to the diameter of the outlet bore.
Which protections do I need for the window and the ceiling light during sandblasting?
The Fervi window and ceiling light protections cover the transparent surfaces and the lamps in the room, so the sand does not damage them. They must be fitted before starting work. Check that the protection covers the whole blasting area and that it has not come off during the work.
How do I use a turntable for a sandblaster?
The turntable lets you rotate the part during sandblasting, so the surface is treated evenly even on round or complex parts. There are different models, such as SA01/TR, SA01/CTR1 and SA01/CTR2. Secure the part and check that the turntable is compatible with the sandblaster in use.
How do I work safely with a sandblaster?
Wear a suitable mask or respirator, glasses, gloves and overalls, because dust and abrasive rebound are dangerous. Work in a well-ventilated area or with extraction, remembering that free silica dust is a risk to the airways. Check that the gun and hoses are intact before starting.
