Wood Screws

145 products · Screws and Rivets

Wood screws are used to fasten and join timber elements, panels and cladding: the thread cuts into the grain and holds without the need for wall plugs. They are used in carpentry, joinery, roofing and cladding work, and in fitting window frames and furniture.

Types in the collection

  • Chipboard screws with pan or countersunk head, fully or partially threaded.
  • Screws for structural timber connections and reinforcement.
  • Stainless steel screws and galvanised or bronze-coated versions for outdoor use.
  • Self-tapping screws, screws with washer and matching washers.

Brands in the collection: Fischer, Unifix, Bossong, DeWalt, SPIT, Vigor and CSC Edilizia.

How to choose

The length must let the screw penetrate the base piece by at least twice the thickness of the piece being fixed. The drive (cross or Torx) and the head shape depend on the tool and the job; the material depends on the environment: galvanised for indoors, stainless or bronze-coated for outdoors and treated timber. For structural loads you need screws specifically designed for timber connections.

AMES Srl works on a quotation basis: tell us the size, quantity and application and we will reply with availability and lead times.
