What it is

The DCD706N-XJ is a compact hammer drill driver from the 12V platform, supplied without a battery so that it fits into an existing DeWalt set-up. With a weight of 0.96 kg and a length of 167 mm, it combines lightness and performance: 250 W of output power, a maximum torque of 57 Nm, two variable speed settings (0-425/0-1,500 rpm) and a hammer action of up to 25,503 blows per minute. It has a 10 mm chuck and an integrated LED light.

A combi drill is a cordless tool that drives screws and drills wood and metal and, with hammer action, also brick and light masonry.

What it is for

Used for repetitive screwdriving into wood, metal and plasterboard, where torque and consistency matter, for drilling a range of materials, with the right bit for the substrate and for drilling reinforced concrete, in hammer or rotary hammer mode.

How to use it

Fit the bit suited to the material and choose the mode: screwdriving with the clutch, drilling, or hammer action only for masonry. Drill holding the tool square to the surface and without forcing, letting the bit do the work. Wear safety glasses and, for prolonged drilling, hearing protection.
