What it is

The DeWalt DCH072L2-QW is a compact SDS-Plus rotary hammer from the 12 V XR range, ideal for hammer drilling in masonry and for precision jobs. It reaches a no-load speed of 910 rpm and offers a drilling capacity of up to 14 mm, with declared capacities of 10 mm in metal and 13 mm in wood. Extremely light and handy – 1.7 kg in weight, 265 mm in width, 176 mm in height – it lets you work comfortably even in confined spaces and overhead. The vibration value in drilling is declared at 12.9 m/s². It is a cordless tool.

A rotary hammer drills concrete, masonry and stone by combining rotation and percussion, with an SDS-Plus, SDS-Max or compressed-air connection.

What it is for

Used for drilling reinforced concrete, in hammer or rotary hammer mode and for drilling solid and hollow masonry, clay brick and blocks.

How to use it

Use a detector to make sure there are no cables or pipes at the drilling point. Insert the clean, greased bit until it clicks, set the depth stop and select the operating mode. Drill with the tool held square to the surface using both hands, withdrawing the bit from time to time to clear the dust, and wear safety glasses, a dust mask and hearing protection.
