SDS Adapter DeWalt DFC1670000

What it is

The DeWalt DFC1670000 SDS adapter is an accessory for the chemical anchoring system, supplied individually in a box. It allows tools with an SDS shank to be used for hole cleaning, a key step in preparing a properly executed anchor.

The extension is a rod or tube that lengthens a tool or accessory to reach the bottom of a deep hole; the adapter is a fitting that allows parts with different connections to be joined.

What it is for

Used for chemical anchoring, where the load or edge distance rules out a mechanical anchor and for structural fixings, where the fixing is load-bearing and must be calculated.

How to use it

Fit or screw it in fully, with no play, before starting work. Check that the connection is compatible with the tool and with the accessory to be connected. The connection should be rechecked if working for a long time, because vibration can loosen it.
