What it is

The SDS-Plus bit is a tool for drilling concrete and masonry with the rotary hammer: it has a grooved shank for quick fitting and a head with a carbide cutting edge.

What it is for

Used for drilling reinforced concrete, in hammer or rotary hammer mode and for drilling solid and hollow masonry, clay brick and blocks.

How to use it

Clean and lightly grease the shank, insert it in the chuck until it clicks and drill in rotation with hammer action, without forcing. Withdraw the bit often to clear the dust and avoid tilting it in the hole. Change it when the cutting edge is worn and it no longer advances.
