What it is

The SDS-Plus chisel is a shank tool with quick-fit coupling, pointed, flat or spade type, fitted to the rotary hammer for chiselling, breaking and removing mortar, plaster or tiles.

What it is for

Used for running services through walls, floors and suspended ceilings and for chiselling concrete, masonry and plaster.

How to use it

Insert it into the chuck until it clicks and set the machine to hammer-only mode, without rotation. Rest the cutting edge on the point to be worked with the tool slightly inclined and let the hammering do the work, without pressing too hard. Wear safety glasses, gloves and ear defenders, and change the chisel when the cutting edge is rounded.
