What it is

The Fischer chisel is a percussion tool with an SDS-max shank, designed for demolition and chiselling work with compatible hammers and power tools. It has an overall length of 400 mm and a working length of 6 mm; it is supplied individually. The SDS-max shank makes it suitable for heavy-duty power tools, where high impact energy has to be transmitted.

A demolition chisel is a steel tool with an SDS-Plus, SDS-Max or hex shank that, fitted to a hammer, breaks up concrete, masonry and tiles.

What it is for

Used for light demolition, chasing and localised removal and for chiselling concrete, masonry and plaster.

How to use it

Choose the shape: pointed for breaking, flat or spade for scaling and removing tiles, channel for chasing. Grease the shank, insert it into the chuck of the hammer set to chiselling only and work letting the machine's weight do the job, without using the chisel as a lever. Wear safety glasses, gloves and ear defenders, and have the chisel resharpened or replace it when the cutting edge is worn.
