What it is

Fischer chisels are demolition and chasing tools for percussion power tools, available with an SDS Plus or SDS Max shank depending on the machine used. They are designed for removing material, cutting chases and demolishing masonry and concrete, making use of the energy of hammers and rotary hammers compatible with the two most common shank systems.

A demolition chisel is a steel tool with an SDS-Plus, SDS-Max or hex shank that, fitted to a hammer, breaks up concrete, masonry and tiles.

What it is for

Used for light demolition, chasing and localised removal and for chiselling concrete, masonry and plaster.

How to use it

Choose the shape: pointed for breaking, flat or spade for scaling and removing tiles, channel for chasing. Grease the shank, insert it into the chuck of the hammer set to chiselling only and work letting the machine's weight do the job, without using the chisel as a lever. Wear safety glasses, gloves and ear defenders, and have the chisel resharpened or replace it when the cutting edge is worn.
