What it is

The Awelco 90101 spool gun torch is the dedicated solution for MIG welding of aluminium and light alloys, designed to ensure smooth wire feeding even on sensitive materials. The MIG/MAG torch is the handle that guides the wire and the gas to the weld point; in the spool gun version the spool is mounted on the torch, which is useful for soft wires such as aluminium.

How to use it

Connect it to the welding machine, fit a contact tip and nozzle suited to the wire, and check that the wire feeds correctly. While working, keep it at a constant distance from the workpiece. Clean the nozzle and tip of spatter often and replace worn parts.
