What it is
The backing plate for non-deformable posts CSC Edilizia 416B is a reinforcement component for lifeline systems, paired with the non-deformable posts to distribute the anchor loads onto the structural substrate. It is made of S235JR steel (Fe 360 B) to the general tolerances of UNI-ISO 2768, weighs 1.65 kg, and has two 18x20 mm slots that allow it to be coupled and fixed.
The backing plate is a steel plate placed on the opposite side of the base of an anchor post, to spread the load of the fixing across the supporting structure.
What it is for
Used as an anchor point in fall protection systems and for roof maintenance.
How to use it
Position it on the opposite side of the base, in contact with the structure, aligned with the fixing holes. Tighten the screws or bolts specified in the design to the torque indicated by the manufacturer, checking that the plate sits snugly. Installation must be carried out by trained personnel, following the anchor design.
