Threaded rod kit, M16x500, CSC Edilizia 419

What it is

The CSC Edilizia 419 M16x500 threaded rod kit is a fixing set for fall arrest anchoring systems, consisting of rods with an M16x500 mm thread. The rods are made of galvanised class 8.8 steel, a high-strength material typical of structural connecting elements, for a total kit weight of 2.90 kg; the manufacturing complies with the UNI-ISO 2768 general tolerances.

Threaded rod is steel rod threaded along its entire length which, with nuts, washers and connectors, is used to make tie rods, hangers and chemical anchor fixings.

What it is for

Used as an anchor point in fall protection systems, for chemical anchoring, where the load or edge distance rules out a mechanical anchor and for structural fixings, where the fixing is load-bearing and must be calculated.

How to use it

Cut to length with a hacksaw or angle grinder and clean up the thread with a file or by running a nut over it. Screw it into couplers and connectors or set it in the hole with chemical anchor, then tighten with a nut and washer. Choose the property class and finish, zinc-plated or stainless, according to the load and environment.
