What it is

DeWalt DFM2250050 VERTIGO self-tapping screws are designed for use in timber, with an M8 thread and a length of 50 mm, supplied in packs of 100 pieces. The self-tapping geometry allows the screw to penetrate and anchor in the wood by forming its own seat, for a quick, stable fixing.

Wood screws are screws with a wood thread, also supplied with a plug or collar, for assembling timber and fixing frames and battens to walls.

What it is for

Used for fixing into timber, from assembly work to carpentry and for supporting pipework and ductwork.

How to use it

Choose a length that penetrates at least two-thirds into the second piece. In hardwoods or near edges, pre-drill to prevent the wood from splitting. Drive with a bit of the right size, keeping the screwdriver in line and setting the clutch so as not to strip the head.
