Frequently asked questions: Equipment for Decorative Finishers
Which spray gun should I choose for paints?
The 20 V cordless spray gun with an 800 ml tank paints large surfaces more quickly than a brush. The viscosity of the paint and the nozzle must be chosen according to the product. Before starting, test on a piece of cardboard to adjust the pressure and distance.
Which airbrush do I need for details and small jobs?
The airbrush is used for decorations, details and finishing where a fine, controlled spray is needed. The Grifo series airbrushes and the mini airbrush kit differ in size and tank capacity. Choose the model according to the type of paint and the surface to be treated.
Which masking tape should I choose to protect walls and window frames?
Masking rolls, with a blade dispenser in widths of 10 or 20 cm, protect skirting boards, window frames and edges while painting. Choose the width according to the area to be covered. Remove the tape within the time indicated on the pack, to avoid residue on the surface.
How do you use Tintocolor colourant for paints?
Tintocolor colourant is used to tint paints to obtain the desired shade. Add it a little at a time and mix well, because the colour may change as it dries. For an even shade, prepare the whole quantity needed in one go.
Why should you read the safety data sheet for paints?
Paints and colourants have a safety data sheet that states the hazards, the protective equipment and the disposal methods. The REACH Regulation requires the data sheet for hazardous mixtures. Read it before using the product and keep it available on site.
Which curtain rods and curtains should I choose for the home?
The white plastic-coated steel café curtain rod and the telescopic curtain rod hold curtains and drapes, with the diameter and length chosen according to the window. Threaded eyelets fix the curtains to the rod. Check the load capacity of the brackets and use wall plugs suited to the wall.
Which screen should I choose to divide a room?
The catalogue screens, such as the Venus, Turandot or Palmy models, divide interior spaces and provide privacy without closing off the room. The choice depends on the style of the room and the height needed to cover. Check the stability of the base before moving them.
Who uses this equipment and for what jobs?
It is used by decorators to prepare and finish walls with paints, varnishes and finishes, both indoors and outdoors. The work includes masking, spraying and fitting curtains and trimmings. Tailors and upholsterers also use tape measures and rules for measurements.
