How to choose the right accessory

The starting point is the machine it is to be fitted to: the fitting, thread (for example M16) and diameter must match. Then the material to be worked, because discs and tools are chosen according to the substrate, and the size shown on the product sheet. If you are not sure about compatibility, give AMES the model of your machine so that the correct part can be identified.

To check availability, compatibility and lead times, write to or call AMES Srl and request a quote: supplies are by quotation.

Frequently asked questions: Breaker
Which diamond crown should you use for core drilling concrete or masonry?

The impregnated diamond crown for core drilling is used to make holes in concrete and masonry with core drills. The diamond segment and its height affect the aggressiveness of the cut and the lifetime. The set-diamond crown has a different structure and must be chosen for the material indicated on the data sheet. Choose the diameter based on the hole to be drilled and use water to cool the crown during work.

Diamond disc or PCD disc: which should you choose?

The diamond cutting disc is suitable for concrete, masonry and stone, while the PCD disc, with polycrystalline diamonds, is designed for the specific materials indicated on the data sheet. The choice depends on the material to be cut and on the machine. Check the diameter, such as the 125 or 150 mm models in the catalogue, and the maximum speed stated. Do not force the cut.

Steel, nylon, PPL and tampico brushes: when are they used?

Brushes differ by bristle material and by the work they do. The steel brush is used to deburr and remove rust from metal; nylon and PPL for lighter work; tampico for cleaning and finishing. Choose the bristle based on the surface to be treated, and do not use a metal brush on surfaces that must not be scratched.

What are the CM 48 and CM15 converters for?

Breaker CM 48 and CM15 converters are used to connect an accessory to a machine with a different fitting. The choice depends on the machine they are fitted to and on the accessory to be connected. Check dimensions and thread on the data sheet, because an incompatible fitting can damage the machine or come loose during use.

How is a concrete vibrator used?

The AD vibrator and the flexible-shaft poker of the AF series are used to compact fresh concrete and eliminate air bubbles. Immerse the poker vertically into the pour, without touching the formwork, and move it at regular intervals. Choose the shaft length based on the thickness of the pour. Do not keep the poker still in one spot for too long.

Mixer and spare bucket for MC 50 and MC 65: how are they chosen?

The professional mixer and the reinforced spare bucket are used to mix mortar and concrete on site. The spare bucket is indicated for the MC 50 and MC 65 models: check the code of the mixer before ordering. The mixing paddle is used for manual mixes or small volumes. Do not load the mixer beyond the indicated capacity.

What is a 2-inch PA motor pump for?

The PA motor pump with a 2-inch connection moves water from excavations, construction sites or tanks. The diameter of the connection affects the flow rate, so it must be matched to the hose. Place the pump on a stable base, with the suction submerged, and check fuel and oil before starting. Do not use it in enclosed spaces because of exhaust gases.
