Utility Knives
74 products
Utility knives are knives with a segmented blade that snaps off when it wears: they are used to cut cardboard, membranes, carpet, tape, plasterboard and packaging on site, in the workshop and in the warehouse.
Types in the collection
- Snap-off blade knives for 9, 18 and 25 mm blades, with a rubberised plastic or metal body (Metrica, Vigor, Pavan, Stanley)
- Auto-lock and wheel-lock knives
- Safety knives and retractable knives (Milwaukee)
- Pocket mini knives
How to choose
Blade width matters: 9 mm for precision work, 18 mm for general use, 25 mm for heavier cuts. A metal body lasts longer, a rubberised one is more comfortable; the blade lock and the safety feature reduce the risk of cuts. Check that replacement blades are easy to find.
If you often cut abrasive materials such as plasterboard or membranes, keep spare blades to hand and replace them as soon as they lose their edge.
