61 products

In this collection you will find discs and wheels for special jobs that fall outside ordinary cutting discs: grinding concrete, cleaning and conditioning surfaces, deburring and removing residues. They fit onto an angle grinder or a floor grinder.

Types in the collection

  • Diamond cup wheels, including turbo versions, for grinding and levelling concrete, stone and screeds.
  • Abrasive nylon discs and surface conditioning discs, for cleaning, satin-finishing and preparing metals without removing too much material.
  • Diamond discs for concrete, including for green concrete, in low-noise versions.
  • Carbide-coated discs, for working a range of materials, and deburring discs for wood and PVC.

The collection includes products by Makita, Sea Technology, Fervi, Milwaukee, Breaker and A.M.E.S. srl.

How to choose

First identify the job and the material, then choose the type of disc. Always check the diameter, bore or fitting and maximum speed (rpm), which must be compatible with the machine.

Frequently asked questions: Special-Purpose Discs
What are specialist discs for angle grinders used for?

These discs are used for jobs that are not ordinary cutting: grinding concrete, cleaning and conditioning surfaces, deburring or removing residues. They are fitted to an angle grinder or a sander. To work out which disc you need, start from the material to be worked and the result you want: removing material, cleaning or just finishing the surface.

Diamond cup wheel or diamond blade for concrete: what is the difference?

The diamond cup wheel is used to grind and level concrete, stone and screeds. The diamond blade for concrete, on the other hand, is used for cutting. The collection includes concrete blades such as Cemento Uno, Due, Tre up to Cinque, with silent versions. Choose according to the job you have to do, not just the model name.

Which diamond blade for fresh concrete?

For fresh concrete there are dedicated blades, such as the Cemento Fresco Due Laser, Tre Laser and Cinque models, which are distinct from blades for hardened concrete. The number in the name is not a universal scale: compare the technical data sheets to understand the range. Also check whether the blade is suited to the type of cut and to dry use or use with water.

Which diamond blade for asphalt?

The collection includes diamond blades for asphalt in the Asfalto Tre, Quattro and Cinque versions of the Sea Technology line. Before use, check on the data sheet whether the blade is to be used dry or with water and what maximum speed it can withstand. Always use the guard and keep dust under control, working with the tool resting firmly.

Chainsaw disc for wood on an angle grinder: is it safe?

The chainsaw disc for wood is used to make cuts in wood, but when fitted to an angle grinder it can cause violent kickback if it jams. Always use the guard fitted, hold the tool with both hands and keep your body to the side of the cutting line. Never work above head height and check that the bore is 22.2 mm.

Which wood discs fit an angle grinder?

The collection includes wood-cutting discs in the uniwood and speedy lines, a disc for deburring wood and PVC and a chainsaw disc with a 22.2 mm bore. Before fitting, check that the bore matches the spindle of the grinder and that the maximum speed of the disc is compatible with the tool. Choose the diameter according to the grinder you use.

Non-woven abrasive disc: what is it used for?

The non-woven disc, such as the Laser Finish 115 mm model or the Fast Lock discs for surface conditioning, is used to clean, satin-finish and prepare metals without removing too much material. It is used to finish and even out surfaces. Choose the grit according to the result: coarser for cleaning, finer for finishing.

Universal carbide or multi-purpose discs: when should you use them?

Carbide (hard metal) and multi-purpose discs are used when you have to work different materials without changing disc, for example to deburr, rough-grind or remove residues. The Milwaukee carbide-coated disc is suited to multi-material work. Always check the material stated on the data sheet and do not use a disc for anything other than its intended use.
