How to choose

The length of the blade in relation to your working measurements matters, as does its width: wide blades stand out better unsupported, narrow ones are more compact. The blade lock helps when measuring alone.

The models differ in blade length, case size and the presence of a lock. For everyday use on site a sturdy case is best; for marking out, the legibility of the scale and the accuracy are what count.
