Light-Duty Mending Plates and Angle Brackets

87 products · Connectors and Accessories for Carpentry

Mending plates and angle brackets are small perforated metal elements used to join and reinforce light joints: corners, end joints and flat connections in wood, furniture and window and door frames. In this collection you will find steel elements, usually galvanised, to be fixed with screws.

Types available

  • Straight and reinforced fixing plates: rectangular, including double plates (Unifix).
  • Angle brackets: for reinforcing corners and L-shaped joints.
  • Jointing plates and brackets: flat, angled and U-shaped (A.M.E.S., Fervi).
  • Assortments with screws: flat and angle brackets in packs (Fervi).

How to choose

Consider the dimensions, the number and diameter of the holes, the thickness of the metal and the type of screw to be used. These are light-duty elements: they do not replace structural connectors for load-bearing applications.

For a neat fixing, use screws with a head suited to the hole and do not force the bracket when tightening, so as not to deform it.

Every supply is on a quotation basis: tell us the model, quantity and intended use and the AMES team will prepare a tailored offer.
