Treatment, Spraying and Cleaning Machinery

190 products · Flooring Work

This collection brings together two families of machinery: those for spraying and treating, which distribute liquids and products onto plants and surfaces, and those for cleaning roads, yards and large areas.

Spraying and treatment

  • Manual knapsack sprayers, with a tank carried on the back.
  • Backpack and shoulder-mounted mist blowers, petrol or cordless.
  • Engine-driven spraying pumps, 4-stroke petrol.
  • Pumps, kits and spare parts: lances, twin-jet kits, pump spares.

Surface cleaning

  • Sweepers and vacuum sweepers, including municipal and motorised road sweepers.
  • Magnetic sweepers for picking up metal debris from yards.

How to choose

For spraying, tank capacity, the type of power (manual, battery or petrol engine) and the treatment to be carried out all matter. For sweepers, what counts is the surface to be cleaned, the type of dirt and whether you need a walk-behind machine or one with the operator on board.

Brands include Kärcher, Nilfisk, IPC Worldwide, Butti, Wortex, Efco and Makita. AMES works on a quotation basis: tell us the intended use and we will propose the right machine.

Frequently asked questions: Treatment, Spraying and Cleaning Machinery
Shoulder or backpack sprayer: which should I choose?

The shoulder sprayer, with a 5, 8, 12 or 16 litre tank, is designed for treating small areas such as vegetable plots, flower beds and gardens. The backpack sprayer is carried on the back for longer jobs and distributes the liquid more continuously. Choose according to the area to be treated and how often it is used, and consider the weight of the full tank.

Battery or engine sprayer: when is each one worthwhile?

The battery sprayer, such as the 16-litre lithium model, needs no fuel mix or cables, so it is convenient for jobs away from power sockets or for regular use. The four-stroke petrol motor sprayer is designed for longer jobs or larger areas. Before choosing, check the battery life and the tank capacity.

Which products can be distributed with a sprayer?

Sprayers distribute liquids such as garden plant care products, disinfectants or detergents, depending on the model and material compatibility. The liquid must be chosen according to the label instructions, which give doses and methods of use. Do not use the same sprayer for different substances without washing it, and keep those for plant protection products separate.

What spare parts are needed for a sprayer?

The most common spare parts are gaskets, valves, lances and nozzles, available as kits or separately depending on the model. Mesto, Ares or Diana sprayers have dedicated spare parts, so check the exact model before buying. Replacing a worn gasket or valve prevents leaks and restores the working pressure.

What is the difference between a street sweeper and a motorised sweeper?

A street sweeper cleans roads, yards and pedestrian areas, collecting dust, leaves and debris with rotating brushes, such as the S 4 Twin model. The motorised sweeper has its own engine and covers larger areas, with a collection hopper. For municipal or industrial areas, the choice depends on the surface, the type of dirt and the manoeuvring space.

When are a vaporiser or a mist sprayer used?

The vaporiser and the mist sprayer disperse liquid into fine droplets, useful for wetting plants, dusty areas or surfaces that need an even distribution. The manually pressurised mist sprayer works without a motor and is used for short jobs. Adjust the nozzle to the surface and never aim the jet at people or animals.

What safety and legal rules must be followed when spraying?

For plant protection products, D.Lgs. 150/2012 (Italian Legislative Decree 150/2012) governs sustainable use, and equipment must be kept in good working order. Wear gloves, eye protection and suitable clothing, always read the label, and do not spray in strong wind. Wash the sprayer after use, in an area away from watercourses.
