376 products
Wortex is a brand of pumps and machines for water and for the garden. In this collection you will find Wortex products for pumping, irrigation and the treatment of plants and crops, used in agriculture, gardening and small-scale work.
Products in the collection
- Manual knapsack sprayers, for example the S 18-M 18-litre model.
- 4-stroke petrol engine-driven spraying pumps.
- Diaphragm pressure tanks and other components for pump systems.
- Electric pumps, engine-driven pumps and spare parts from the Wortex range.
How to choose
For sprayers, the surface to be treated matters: a knapsack pump is fine for small areas, a petrol engine-driven pump for larger surfaces. For pumps, look at the flow rate and head required by the system and the type of power, electric or engine. For spare parts it is best to check the code of the appliance.

Frequently asked questions: Wortex
What are Wortex spraying pumps used for?
Spraying pumps distribute water or liquids to be applied to plants and crops, in agriculture, gardening and small green-maintenance jobs. The backpack pump is carried on the back and is used for limited areas; the petrol motor sprayer works on larger plots, where a constant flow rate and pressure are needed.
Which sprayer should you choose based on the area to treat?
The most important factors are the area to treat and the duration of the job. For hedges, small vegetable gardens and fruit trees, an 18-litre backpack pump is enough, such as the S 18-M model. For orchards, vineyards or large plots, a motorised sprayer is better, as it reduces fatigue and keeps the pressure more even. Always check the tank capacity against the planned work.
What is a membrane hydrosphere used for in a pump system?
A membrane hydrosphere, also called a membrane tank, is a pressurised water store placed between the pump and the points of use. It reduces continuous pump starts, keeps the delivery pressure more stable and protects the motor. The pressure switch mounted on the tank controls the start and stop of the pump based on the pressure reached.
How do you choose the pressure switch for a Wortex pump?
The pressure switch is chosen based on the working pressure of the pump and the type of system. In the Wortex catalogue you will find models such as the FSG-2 and the PM 5: compare the operating range and the connection on the technical data sheet. An unsuitable pressure switch can make the pump start too often or fail to start when needed. The pressure gauge helps you check the actual pressure in the system.
When is a pressure booster set with inverter needed?
A pressure booster set with inverter keeps the pressure constant when a tap is opened or several water outlets are used at the same time. The inverter adjusts the pump speed to the demand, so the pump only works when needed. It is useful in houses, villas and small service-water or irrigation systems, where the flow rate often changes during the day.
What are Wortex petrol compressors used for?
Petrol compressors such as the DSB 22/680 and CB 25/520 produce compressed air where there is no mains electricity: construction sites, agricultural work, road maintenance and mobile workshops. They are chosen based on the air flow and pressure required by the tool to be powered. Use them outdoors or in well-ventilated spaces, because the petrol engine produces exhaust gases.
How can Wortex pumps be maintained to avoid failure?
Clean the water filter when it clogs and check that the non-return valves and foot valves have no debris. The mechanical seal is a part subject to wear, especially with dirty or sandy water. Before periods of inactivity or frost, drain the pump and the hose to avoid damage to the internal parts. Also check the electrical connections.
