What it is
Proplate 80 ALZ by Progress Profiles is a floor profile in silver anodised aluminium, 80 mm wide and supplied in 2.7 m bars; the number 80 in the code matches the width. Anodising gives the surface a uniform silver colour and a protective layer that makes it more resistant to oxidation than raw aluminium.
Profiles and skirting boards are aluminium, steel or PVC components that finish and protect edges, steps, joints and the junction between wall and floor.
What it is for
Used for floor laying, from the screed to the finish, for laying tiles and slabs, from spreading the adhesive to grouting and for installing wall tiling and cladding.
How to use it
Install embedded profiles during tiling, bedding the perforated flange in the adhesive and aligning them with the finished floor level. Cut skirting boards and surface-mounted profiles to size and glue them or fix them with clips and screws, taking care over the corner joints. Cut with a blade suited to the material and deburr the edges.
