The hog ring tool is a manual, pneumatic or cordless tool that closes metal rings around two elements to fasten them together, for example wire mesh to support wires or the panels of gabion baskets.

What it is for

Used for general-purpose fixing into masonry, concrete and timber and for mechanical fixing of structures and components to walls, ceilings and floors.

How to use it

Load it with rings of the specified type and bring the head onto the two elements to be joined. Operate it to close the ring and check that it holds. On pneumatic models, adjust the air pressure. Wear gloves and safety glasses, never point the tool at people, and disconnect the air supply or battery before loading or clearing a jam.
