What it is

The snow sock is a fabric cover that slips over the tyre of the drive wheel to improve grip on snow and ice; it is lighter and easier to fit than chains.
What it is for
Used for vehicle maintenance, in the workshop and on the road and for road safety and the protection of people working on the road.
How to use it
Fit it with the vehicle stationary, on the drive wheels, unrolling it over the tread and moving the vehicle forward a few metres to complete the fitting. Drive at low speed and remove it as soon as the road is clear. On dry tarmac it wears out quickly.
