The mitre box is a tool with side guides that supports the moulding and guides the saw, for cuts at 45 degrees or other angles in mouldings and profiles.
What it is for
Used for woodworking in the joinery shop and for cutting solid wood, panels and battens, on the bench or on site.
How to use it
Rest the moulding in the box against the back wall, hold it with your hand or with a stop and slide the back saw into the guides for the angle required. Cut with long, regular strokes, without forcing. Check the angle with a test piece and change the blade when it cuts poorly.
