Universal round cylinder

What it is

The cylinder is the part of the lock that receives the key: it contains pins or discs that align only with the correct key and allow the bolt to be operated. It may be a European profile, oval, pump-type or armoured cylinder.

How to use it

Choose the right size by measuring the door thickness and the two sides, inside and outside, and fix it with the central screw. Check that the key turns freely before closing the door. Lubricate with graphite or a specific product, not with oil, and replace it if the key sticks or turns with difficulty.
