Plastic wedges

What it is

The wedge is a wedge-shaped metal piece: as a spare part, it is driven into the eye of the handle to lock the axe head; the splitting wedge is driven into the log with the maul to split it.

Used in forestry work and for cutting firewood.

How to use it

The locking wedge is driven into the handle until the head is secured; the splitting wedge is driven into the log along the grain and struck with the maul. Wear safety glasses and gloves.
