What it is

The DeWalt DT60820-QZ is an SDS Max XLR drill bit of 22 mm diameter with a working length of 400 mm and a total length of 540 mm, designed for deep, large-diameter drilling. The tungsten carbide head and the 4 cutting edges ensure effective penetration in concrete and masonry, while the SDS Max shank allows use on professional rotary hammers. The weight of 0.93 kg ensures stability in the most demanding holes.

An SDS-Max bit is a carbide-tipped bit for rotary hammers with an SDS-Max chuck, for large-diameter, deep holes in concrete and masonry.

What it is for

Used for drilling reinforced concrete, in hammer or rotary hammer mode and for drilling solid and hollow masonry, clay brick and blocks.

How to use it

Clean and lightly grease the shank, insert it into the chuck until it locks and select hammer drilling. Drill with the hammer held in line with the hole, letting the machine's weight do the work without pushing, and withdraw the bit frequently to clear the dust. If you hit a reinforcing bar, stop and move the hole; do not cool a hot bit in water.
