Wall-mounted emergency shower Carvel

What it is

Wall-mounted emergency shower, in green, to drench the whole body of anyone hit by flames or by splashes of acids, alkalis or solvents. Wall mounting leaves the floor free beneath the shower head. To be placed in departments where corrosive or flammable substances are handled, connected to the water mains.

The emergency shower or eyewash station is a fixed or portable device for immediately rinsing the eyes and face, or the whole body, after splashes of chemicals or dust.

What it is for

Used as part of first aid provision and for workplace safety, as equipment required by the safety plan.

How to use it

Install it in a marked, unobstructed location close to where hazardous products are used, so that it can be reached within seconds. In the event of a splash, open the flow and rinse for a long time with the eyelids held open, then see a doctor. Check the operation periodically and change the water in portable models.

Safe use

Connect the shower to a drinking water line with adequate flow rate and mark its position with the emergency sign. Operate it every week to flush stagnant water out of the pipework and keep the space around it clear.
