Combined milling cutter chuck Fervi 40/D50

What it is

The Fervi 40/D50 combination shell mill arbor is an accessory for milling machines and machining centres intended for mounting large-size shell mills and end mills. It combines a Ø 40 mm bore with a BT 50 mount made to the MAS-403 BT standard, with a d - h6 tolerance that ensures precision and stability in demanding machining.

These are chucks with a tapered shank, often Morse taper, that hold milling cutters or drill bits and fit into the taper of the machine tool.

What it is for

Used for milling faces, shoulders and slots on machine tools and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.

How to use it

Clean the taper and the socket thoroughly of oil and swarf, then insert the shank with a slight twist and a firm push so that the taper seats. Tighten the tool with the specified key or drawbar. To remove it, use the proper tool, without striking the chuck.
