What it is
Centre lathe Fervi 0657. Key specifications: tip height (mm) 125, max diameter over bed (mm) 250, max diameter over carriage (mm) 150.
The centre lathe is a machine tool that rotates a metal workpiece held in the chuck and machines it with a fixed tool mounted on a carriage, for facing, turning and threading.
What it is for
Used in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts, in metalworking and for turning metal parts, both roughing and finishing.
How to use it
Fix it to the bench, clamp the workpiece and tool and set the speed and feed suited to the material. Start the machine and bring the tool up with the handwheels, taking small cuts. Before starting, remove the chuck key, wear safety glasses and use guards, and clear the swarf with a brush, with the machine stopped, never with the hands.
