Hold the workpiece firmly on the bench or machine during machining.

Geared drill Fervi T145
Also known as: geared head drill
Key features
- Cast iron drilling capacity with pilot hole (mm)Ø 45
- Maximum drilling capacity in steel with pilot hole, S235JR (mm)Ø 40
- Continuous drilling capacity (mm)Ø 35
- Tapping capacityM33 (cast iron) - M30 (steel)
- Morse taperCM 4
- Chuck1 ÷ 13 mm B16
What it is
The Fervi T145 is a high-power gear-drive pillar drill, sized for the most demanding drilling: continuous drilling up to Ø 35 mm, up to Ø 40 mm in S235JR steel and Ø 45 mm in cast iron with a pilot hole, as well as tapping up to M33 in cast iron and M30 in steel. The 1-13 mm B16 chuck with Morse taper CM 4 offers eighteen speeds from 50 to 1450 rpm, right and left rotation, a 180 mm stroke and two automatic feeds (0.1 - 0.20 mm/rev). The 400 V 50 Hz three-phase motor delivers 1.5/2.4 kW, with a 40 W coolant pump.
A pillar drill is a stationary drilling machine on a column or magnetic base for accurate, perpendicular holes; this category also includes chucks and drill vices.
What it is for
Used for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.
How to use it
Clamp the workpiece in the vice, or fix the magnetic base to clean steel; never hold the workpiece by hand. Fit the bit in the chuck and tighten it firmly, set the speed according to diameter and material and drill with a steady feed, using coolant on metals. Wear safety glasses, no gloves near the chuck, and keep sleeves and hair tied back.
