Neutral-based silicones Fischer

What it is

This page covers the Fischer range of neutral-cure silicones, sealants in 310 ml cartridges. It includes six families: SNF for window frames, SNF Specchi for mirrors and natural stone, SBM for building and sheet-metal work, SNP for polycarbonate, SN multipurpose and SNS for sanitary fixtures. None of them is paintable; SNF, SBM, SNP, SN and SNS are CE marked for façades and glazing, and the SNF also complies with UNI 11673-1.

Sealant is a paste product, in cartridges or tubes, that fills and seals joints and gaps, either remaining elastic or curing hard (silicones, polyurethanes, acrylics, hybrids, construction adhesives).

What it is for

Used for waterproofing roofs, terraces and below-ground structures, for structural and assembly bonding and for sealing joints, gaps and service penetrations.

How to use it

Clean and dry the joint edges, insert backer rod if needed and mask the edges with masking tape. Cut the nozzle at an angle to the width of the joint, extrude the product with the gun in a continuous bead and tool it with a wet spatula before it skins over. Remove the tape immediately and allow the full curing time before stressing the joint.
