Forklift-mounted drum handler for 220 L drums with manual handwheel tilting 500 kg Carvel

What it is

Drum tipper to be slid onto the forks of a forklift truck for picking up, rotating and emptying 220-litre drums, with a fixed-diameter grip. Forward tipping is operated manually using a handwheel connected to a 1:70 ratio gearbox, while a 230 mm high rubber band holds the drum. It carries up to 500 kg and weighs 90 kg.

This is equipment for lifting and supporting loads on site and in the workshop: winches, jib hoists and scaffold hoists, magnetic lifters, props and accessories.

How to use it

Check that the load capacity of the equipment and of the structure it is fixed to exceeds the load, and install it according to the manufacturer's instructions. Attach the load with suitable lifting accessories, lift it slowly, and let no one stand under the suspended load. Before use, check the rope, safety-catch hook, limit switches and brake, and carry out the required periodic inspections.

Safe use

Do not exceed the 500 kg capacity and check that the forklift truck is suitable for the combined weight of the attachment and a full drum. Before tipping, check that the drum is firmly secured by the strap and that nobody is within the manoeuvring radius.
