What it is
This is a manual rope hoist, with a rope 2.5 metres long and a declared breaking load of 2000 kg. The breaking load is not the working load: the load that can be safely pulled or lifted is lower and must be read on the tool's label. It works with a rope and not a chain, so the useful travel is limited by the 2.5 metres of rope.
The manual chain hoist is a geared hoist with a load chain, hooks and a hand chain, which lifts loads with reduced effort.
What it is for
Used for handling materials on site and for lifting loads, with accessories rated for the weight involved.
How to use it
Hang it from a structure or tripod able to carry the weight, with the hook safety latch closed. Pull the hand chain with smooth, even movements to raise or lower. Do not stand under the load or exceed the rated capacity. Before use, check the chain, hooks and brake, and carry out the periodic inspections.
