What it is
The Rover BE-G 20 (code 760.700.16000) is a gear electric pump for transferring liquids up to 7 °E viscosity (Engler degrees): wine, milk and olive oil, or diesel, synthetic and mineral oils. It has a 0.8 HP motor and a maximum flow rate of 1700 litres per hour, about 28 litres per minute. Petrol and solvents are not among the liquids indicated by the supplier.
Special liquid pumps are electric, manual, drill-driven or engine-driven pumps for transferring diesel, oils, chemicals or sludge, with the related fitting kits.
What it is for
Used for lubricating moving parts, bearings and slideways and for food handling, where food-contact materials are required.
How to use it
Check that the pump is compatible with the liquid: for diesel, use pumps rated for fuels, and never transfer petrol or flammable solvents with standard pumps. Connect the suction and delivery hoses securely, immerse the suction end and start the pump, checking that it does not run dry. After use, empty and flush the circuit; wear gloves and safety glasses.
