What it is
Scaffolding hook Portwest FP35. Key specifications: regulations EN 362:2004, material Steel alloy, heat-treated, pieces per box 25.
The large-opening hook is a connector with a safety gate that attaches to scaffolding, pipes and large-diameter structures, where a standard karabiner will not fit.
What it is for
Used for work at height, where access and restraint must be ensured for the whole job, for erecting scaffolding and for fall protection, as part of a fall arrest or work restraint system.
How to use it
Check that the gate springs shut and closes by itself, then attach it to a suitable anchor point so that the load acts in the intended direction. After attaching, visually check that it is closed. Inspect it before each use, looking for deformation and corrosion, and withdraw it after a fall.
