What it is

The hand guard or protector is a rubber or plastic sleeve that slips over the hand tool to protect the hand from hammer blows and splinters.
What it is for
Used for demolishing masonry and concrete structures, for light demolition, chasing and localised removal and for chiselling concrete, masonry and plaster.
How to use it
Slip it onto the chisel, close to the head, and slide it down to the position where the hand is protected. Check that it is intact and does not move during blows. Replace it when cut or broken. It is not a substitute for gloves and safety glasses.
