The threaded rivet nut is a bush with an internal thread that is upset in a hole in thin sheet metal, creating a strong threaded seat, like a blind nut.

How to use it

Drill the sheet to the stated diameter, screw the rivet nut onto the mandrel of the tool and insert it in the hole until the head seats. Operate the tool until the body upsets against the sheet, then unscrew the mandrel. Choose a material compatible with the sheet to avoid corrosion.
