Shelving unit with collection sump for IBC tanks of 1000 L Carvel

What it is

Steel racking for storing 1000-litre IBCs in the warehouse above safety containment sumps sized to the volume stored. The structure assembles by interlocking and the beams on which the tanks rest are height-adjustable. Available in versions for 2, 4 or 6 IBCs, all 3500 mm high, supplied unassembled and can be completed with sheet steel splash guards and galvanised gratings to be laid on the sumps.

Steel shelving, cantilever racking and mezzanine floors are structures that store goods, drums and materials vertically and create additional usable floor space in the warehouse.

What it is for

Used for organising the warehouse, for workplace safety, as equipment required by the safety plan and for the orderly storage of materials and equipment.

How to use it

Assemble the structure on a level, load-bearing floor following the manufacturer's diagram, anchoring it to the floor or wall where required. Observe the stated load capacity per shelf and bay, placing the heaviest items at the bottom and spreading the load evenly. Check uprights and beams regularly and immediately replace any that have been struck or deformed.

Safe use

Move the IBC tanks with a forklift truck suited to their weight and set the rails at the correct height before resting the tanks on them. If a sump collects a leak, empty it and dispose of the liquid as waste according to the substance spilled.
