What it is
The GL 1425 C is a self-levelling dual-grade rotating laser level from Spectra Precision, distributed by Spektra. It has an accuracy of ±1.5 mm at 30 m, a working range of over 800 m in diameter, self-levelling within ±5° and a 630-643 nm class 2 diode. It is IP66, has 45 hours of battery life, Bluetooth for control from a smartphone, and withstands 1 m drops onto concrete and tripod tip-overs from 1.5 m. Supplied with an HL 760 receiver, RC 1402 remote control, batteries and charger.
A rotary laser level is an instrument that rotates the beam through 360 degrees to create a horizontal, vertical or sloped reference plane for setting levels and grading.
What it is for
Used for levelling surfaces and structures and for setting out, for laser measurement of distances, heights and areas and for topographic surveying and site setting-out.
How to use it
Mount it on a stable tripod, switch it on and wait for it to self-level. Read the levels with the receiver clamped to the grade rod, moving it to the points to be checked, and record the differences from the reference. Protect the instrument from knocks and vibration, which can put it out of calibration, and check its accuracy periodically.
