What it is

Secateurs and loppers are bladed tools for cutting branches, vine shoots and vegetation, with replacement springs and catches.
What it is for
Used in grounds care, from routine maintenance to seasonal work, for garden maintenance and in grounds maintenance, from regular mowing to the end-of-season clean-up.
How to use it
Choose the tool according to the branch diameter: one-handed secateurs for thin branches, two-handed loppers for thicker ones. Cut close to the branch junction with the cutting blade on the side of the part that remains on the plant, without twisting the tool. After use, clean sap off the blades, disinfect them when moving from a diseased plant to a healthy one, and sharpen and oil them periodically.
