How to choose

  • Check compatibility with the pump or system: the make and model of the appliance are the starting point for choosing the correct accessory.
  • Check the connection type and the diameter of the fittings before ordering, to avoid unnecessary adapters.
  • For filters, consider the quality of the water to be treated and how easy the cartridge is to clean or replace.
  • For the expansion vessel and the pressure regulator, check that the working values are compatible with those of the pump.

Frequently asked questions: Water Accessories
Which accessory do I need to pressurise a system with a pump and diaphragm tank?

The pressurisation kit with diaphragm tank and electronic control panel helps keep the pressure in the system stable, so the pump starts only when needed. The diaphragm tank absorbs pressure peaks, while the electronic pressure switch controls start-up. Check compatibility with the pump and the working pressure before installing.

How do you choose an electronic pressure switch for a pump?

The pressure switch turns the pump on and off according to the pressure in the system. It should be chosen according to the working pressure and the type of pump, to stop the motor starting and stopping too often. Check the connection type and the voltage before buying, and follow the manufacturer's wiring diagram.

Do I need an inverter for a single-phase pump?

The single-phase inverter, such as the INVEPW1P model, regulates the pump speed according to the demand for water, with a maximum power stated on the model. It is needed when you want more constant pressure or electronic control. Check that the pump's power is within the model's limit, which the data sheet gives as up to 1.5 kW.

How do you choose the filter or basket for the pump?

The filter basket and mesh cartridges hold back sand and debris before it enters the pump or the system. Choose the filter according to the diameter of the connection and the size of the particles to be retained. Clean the filter at regular intervals, because a clogged mesh reduces the water flow.

Which fittings do I need to connect PVC and polypropylene pipes?

Electrofusion fittings are joined to the pipe by melting the material with a built-in resistance wire, while brass fittings screw on and suit threaded pipes. Choose the material according to that of the pipe and the system pressure. Do not mix different materials without a suitable transition fitting.

How do you install a PVC ball valve on a system?

The PVC ball valve shuts off the flow with a quarter turn of the lever, and is used to isolate a section of the system during maintenance. It must be installed in the direction indicated and with connections compatible with the pipe. Shut off the pressure before opening the circuit, and check the seals after fitting.

What are extensions for tank lids used for?

Telescopic, flip-up or screw-on extensions are used to raise the lid or manhole up to ground or paving level. Choose the extension according to the tank diameter and the height to be covered, and check that the type of fitting matches that of the lid.
