Universal Turbo Discs
15 products
Universal turbo discs are diamond discs with a rim of continuous serrated profile, suitable for cutting a range of building materials. Compared with segmented discs they give a more regular cut and a cleaner finish, with a good cutting speed.
What you will find in the collection
- Universal turbo discs for angle grinders, for concrete, brick and stone.
- Laser-welded versions of the segments, for a stronger bond of the diamond section.
- Different sizes and models, for lighter or heavier jobs.
The collection includes products by Sea Technology and A.M.E.S. srl.
How to choose a turbo disc
Check the diameter and bore to suit the machine, and that the maximum rpm of the disc is not lower than that of the tool. The turbo disc is the right choice when cut quality matters; for very deep cuts or on very abrasive materials a segmented disc may be preferable.

Frequently asked questions: Universal Turbo Discs
Which universal disc is best for concrete and brick?
The universal turbo disc is a diamond disc with a continuous serrated rim, designed to cut several building materials such as concrete, brick and stone. It is fitted to an angle grinder, and the right model depends on the material to be cut and the power of the tool. The collection includes universal turbo discs in different sizes.
Does a universal turbo disc also cut stone well?
The collection lists the universal turbo disc for concrete, brick and stone, but the hardness and composition of stone vary greatly from one material to another. For very hard or abrasive stone, check on the disc's product sheet that the material is listed. Make slow passes without forcing the disc, so that it does not overheat.
What is the difference between a universal turbo disc and a segmented disc?
The turbo disc has a continuous serrated rim and, compared with a segmented disc, gives a more regular cut and a cleaner finish, with a good feed rate. The segmented disc instead has an edge interrupted by segments, which help cooling during work. For a tidy cut in ordinary construction work, the turbo is the more straightforward choice.
What does a disc with laser-welded segments mean?
Some universal turbo discs in the collection have laser-welded diamond segments, a system that fixes the diamond part to the disc body more securely. For the user, the difference shows mainly in how well the segments hold up under load, rather than in the initial cut. Check in the title or product sheet whether the model is laser-welded before choosing it.
What sizes and models of universal turbo discs are available?
The collection includes universal turbo discs in various sizes and models: the Sea Technology Turbo models numbered from Due to Sei, the Forza universal turbo disc and the DeWalt DT3702-QZ, DT3712-QZ and DT3732-QZ discs. Sizes are shown in the title or technical sheet. Choose the size compatible with your grinder.
How do I use a universal disc safely?
Before cutting, check that the disc has no cracks, that its maximum speed is compatible with the grinder and that the guard is fitted. Wear safety glasses, gloves and a dust mask, because cutting concrete and brick produces a lot of dust. Do not apply side pressure to the disc and let the cut advance by itself.
Who uses universal turbo discs on site?
Bricklayers, tile fitters, installers and anyone doing small demolition jobs or cutting on site use them, to chase walls, cut blocks, hollow bricks and concrete elements. They are also useful in refurbishments, when different materials have to be cut in the same job. The choice of disc depends on the job to be done and the material to be cut.
