92 products
Fixing elements and systems for site, building services and workshop: U-bolts, pipe clips, brackets, hangers, staples for staple guns, threaded inserts and kits with chemical anchor.
What you will find
- U-bolts, brackets and hangers for supporting pipework and loads (Fischer).
- Pipe clips and galvanised strapping for pipes and cables (Unifix).
- Staples for staple guns of various types (Stanley).
- Fixing kits with chemical anchor (Bonfante) and threaded inserts.
How to choose
Start from the base material (concrete, masonry, wood, sheet metal) and the load to be supported, then consider the environment: outdoors or in damp conditions you need galvanised or stainless steel materials. The dimensions of the hole and the thread also matter.
If the fixing supports heavy loads or services, it is worth asking which element suits the base material and the weight: the wrong choice of plug, bracket or anchor compromises the hold. AMES can help you identify it starting from the application. Always state the diameter, length and material required, because each family is available in several sizes.

Frequently asked questions: Fixings
Which wall plug or anchor should I choose for concrete, masonry or wood?
Start from the base material and the load. Concrete requires anchors suited to the expected load, while hollow masonry needs plugs designed for cavity materials. Wood and sheet metal have their own requirements. The fixing must be sized for the weight to be supported, and if the load is significant it is best to follow the drilling diameter and depth specified by the manufacturer.
How do I choose a chemical anchor kit for heavy-duty fixings?
The chemical anchor kit includes the resin, the threaded rod or insert and often the mixing nozzle. For structural use, check that the datasheet shows the European Technical Assessment (ETA) and the permitted base materials. The drilling, hole cleaning and curing times specified by the manufacturer must be followed, because they affect the strength of the fixing.
Which U-bolt, bracket or hanger do I need to support pipes?
To support pipes you use U-bolts to fix the pipe to a profile, brackets to connect it to the wall and hangers to suspend it from the ceiling. The pipe diameter and the weight of the fluid determine the model. Galvanised clamps let you fix pipes and cables without damaging them. Choose the material according to the environment, with galvanising suited to outdoor or damp areas.
Which staples should I choose for a staple gun, for wood, cardboard or fabrics?
Staples for a staple gun are chosen according to the crown width, the leg height and the type of staple gun. In the catalogue you will find staples of type A, G and CT, with codes such as 1-TRA208T and 1-CT306T. The material to be fixed guides the choice of leg length. Always check that the type is compatible with your staple gun before buying.
When should I use aluminium rivets instead of a screw?
Aluminium rivets are used to join sheet metal and thin materials when you cannot reach the back with a bolt. The tool for setting them is a rivet gun, and the size is chosen according to the thickness to be joined and the hole. Before fitting, check that the base material is compatible with aluminium, to avoid galvanic corrosion between different metals.
How do I fix a toilet seat with wooden, plastic or metal fixings?
The toilet seat fixing is used to secure the seat to the pan. In the catalogue you will find wooden, plastic and metal models, to be chosen according to the seat and the durability you need. For installation, follow the instructions of the pan: usually the fixings are inserted into the holes in the rim and the screws are tightened without overtightening, so as not to crack the ceramic.
How do I use threaded inserts in lightweight materials?
Threaded inserts create a thread in a material that cannot hold a screw, such as wood, plastic or hollow materials. They must be fitted into a hole of the size specified by the manufacturer, often with an installation screw or a dedicated tool. Choose the thread size according to the screw to be driven in and the load. After fitting, check that the insert is firm before loading it.
