Underfloor Heating Systems
10 products
Electric underfloor heating warms the room from below with a heating cable laid under the floor covering, for example under tiles or resin. This collection brings together the components of the Prodeso Heat system by Progress Profiles, used in both renovations and new builds.
Product types in the collection
- Heating cables: the cable that produces the heat, laid in a serpentine pattern on the substrate.
- Cable clips: they fix the heating cable to the substrate and keep the spacing during installation.
- Thermostats: kits for regulating and programming the temperature of the system.
How to choose
The choice starts from the surface to be heated and the covering that will be laid, then the power required and the type of thermostat. If you are unsure about the quantity of cable and the layout, send us the plan of the room and we will help you set up the supply.

Frequently asked questions: Underfloor Heating Systems
How does electric underfloor heating work?
Electric underfloor heating uses a heating cable laid in a serpentine pattern beneath the floor covering, such as tiles or resin. The heat rises from below and warms the room evenly. In the Prodeso Heat range from Progress Profiles you will find cables, clips, membranes and thermostats to complete the system.
Which heating cable should I choose for my room?
The heating cable is chosen according to the surface to be heated and the power required. The collection includes the Prodeso Heat Grip cable and the Prodeso Heat Cable. Calculate the area of the room in square metres and compare it with the data sheet of the model, without estimating the power by eye.
Which thermostat do I need to control the floor temperature?
The thermostat regulates the floor temperature and lets you schedule it over time. The collection includes the Prodeso Heat Grip thermostat kit and the Prodeso Heat Thermostat kit. Check compatibility between the thermostat and the heating cable before ordering, because the two components must work together.
What are the membrane and the cable clips used for?
The decoupling membrane separates the floor from the substrate, while the clips fix the cable and keep its spacing during installation. The collection includes the Prodeso Heat Stick membrane and the membrane for electric heating. The heating cable roller helps to lay the cable evenly.
Do I need a professional to install underfloor heating?
The electrical connection must be made by a qualified installer, in accordance with Italian Ministerial Decree (DM) 37/2008 on installations in buildings. Installation also requires checking the resistance and insulation of the cable, both before and after the covering is laid. Consult your technician before starting the work.
Who uses these systems and for what jobs?
They are used by tile fitters, installers and contractors carrying out renovations or new builds. Underfloor heating is suitable for bathrooms, kitchens and rooms with coverings such as tiles or resin. It is also chosen by those who want heating without visible radiators.
How do I protect the cable during installation?
The cable must not be cut, crossed or overlapped, because it could be damaged or overheat. Fix it with the clips at the indicated spacing and check the resistance before covering it with the screed or resin. Do not switch the system on before the covering has dried.
